Valentine Shopping in the Carolinas!

I would "LOVE" to make some suggestions as you shop the Carolina's for red hot gifts for your special ones this weekend!  Valentines Day is often called the made up Hallmark Holiday but it does seem like time passes us by so quickly we sometimes do need a date on the calender to make us stop and smell the roses, literally! Whether we receive flowers, jewelry, chocolates or a homemade card, being appreciated is the best feeling in the world!  I hope you will enjoy some of my fun finds for your big day to show the LOVE!

Hallmark has been great at verbalizing V-Day since 1913.  However,  The first written Valentine dates back to 1415 and is on display at the British Museum. Valentine's Day greeting cards produced in the U.S. were created in the 1840s by Esther A. Howland. She is known as the Mother of the Valentine. A card company by the name Norcross became the first commercial Company to manufacture greeting cards.  The Greeting Card Association reports one billion Valentine cards are sent each year!
My how things have changed....Now you can send an E-Card!  I hope many receive Stationary this V-Day but perhaps the hand written note is a blog for another day!!
