Must Love Dogs!

Living with Dogs is one of my favorite coffee table books, available at Confluence in New Bern NC !  It is perfectly appropriate at my families house where the dogs rule the roost!

The North Carolina State dog is
the
Officially adopted August 12, 1989.
"The Plott Hound breed originated in the mountains of North Carolina around 1750 and is the only breed known to have originated in North Carolina. Named for Jonathan Plott who developed the breed, the Plott Hound is a legendary hunting dog known as a courageous fighter and tenacious tracker. He is a gentle and loyal companion to hunters of North Carolina. The Plott Hound is very quick of foot with superior treeing instincts and has always been a favorite of big-game hunters". NC Secretary of State
The Plott Hound has a beautiful brindle-colored coat and a spine-tingling, bugle-like call. It is also only one of four breeds known to be of American origin.

In my family we fall into the category of America's favorite, The Lab! 
 My parents dog has his own room which means his dog bed is a real bed, unfortunately for me it is my old room! The empty Nester's found a new love and one that doesn't talk back! "Fletcher" definitely gets the royal treatment these days!  This is Fletch below, he probably just got out of bed the rotten thing!
