BARTA!

As I was saying Sunday, it is Barta time!  This year Captain Tred Barta's big news is The Barta Boys and Girls Clubs Billfish Tournament is adding an Inshore Tournament, so come one come all to the Beaufort Docks this Thursday the 14th!  This is such a great way to get in the tournament action by land or sea!

It is truly ALL about the kids!!  I love this 2010 first sailfish video!  I am sure this kid is hooked for life!  I will never forget my first sailfish and the thrill of witnessing three on at the same time! Very exciting for even the most amature angler!

For those of you unfamiliar, The Barta Boys and Girls Clubs Billfish Tournament is one of the seven major billfish tournaments along the Carolina Coast participating in The North Carolina Governor’s Cup Billfishing Conservation Series. 

The Division of Marine Fisheries manages the series promoting "conservation, protection, and preservation of our marine resources."
