Since today is
National Doughnut Day , I thought it appropriate to dedicate today's post to North Carolina's best doughnut since 1937,
Krispy Kreme! The paintings are from
The Little Art Gallery and Craft established in 1968 in Raleigh now located in Cameron Village.
"
National Doughnut Day started in 1938
as a fund raiser for the
Salvation Army. Their goal was to help the needy during the
Great Depression, and to honor the Salvation Army "Lassies" of World War I, who served doughnuts to soldiers."
Enjoy your Day, Carolina Style!
